  • Investment in education, professional expertise, and personal growth is a key priority for Schaeffler.

A Training Center to Drive Innovation and Talent Development

Schaeffler Kysuce has inaugurated a modern training centre designed to provide high-quality conditions for education and professional development. The centre will serve employees, apprentices, university students, and industry professionals. It features specialized classrooms, interactive spaces, and an outdoor atrium, creating an inspiring learning environment.

"Our priority at Schaeffler is to continuously improve education and create conditions for both professional and personal growth. Investing in modern training facilities that align with current trends is essential for motivating and developing our employees and young talents," said Hanna Peter-Regar Senior Vice President Schaeffler Academy.

"Qualified employees are now more than ever a crucial factor for success in global competition. Innovation cycles are becoming shorter, and technological advancements are progressing so rapidly that many skills lose relevance within a short period. I believe that our new training centre will be a place where theory meets practice and will help develop new competencies for our colleagues," emphasized Milan Jurky, Managing Director of Schaeffler Slovakia.

Preparation for Future Industry Trends

The training centre is equipped with interactive classrooms, robotic stations, VR/AR technologies, and various simulation devices. In addition to specialized training in mechatronics, electronics, milling, grinding, and turning, the centre will offer courses in digitalization, automation, programming of industry and collaborative robots. An important element is also augmented and virtual reality, which enables realistic simulations of manufacturing processes.

The facility includes CNC machines, robotic systems, didactic panels for pneumatics and electrical engineering, 3D printers, as well as training modules for hydrogen technologies and workshops on sustainability and climate change impacts. A dedicated area has been set up for training in safety, ergonomics, and quality, along with a section for digital and online learning, including e-learning modules for production employees. Thanks to its flexible design, most of the spaces can be adapted for various forms of study, workshops, and professional training.

A Space for Professional Growth, Creativity, and Collaboration

"Our new training centre responds to modern didactic trends and offers space for interactive and visually engaging education. I believe we have managed to create an environment that will motivate people to collaborate and grow," said Andrea Tuchyňová, Training and Talent Management Manager at Schaeffler Academy Slovakia.

The training facilities will be intensively utilized. In 2024 alone, Schaeffler’s Slovak plants conducted more than 2,000 training sessions, with 90% of employees attending at least one of them. The training programs focused on automation, digitalization, robotics, leadership development, and mental well-being. In addition to employees, the centre will also be used by apprentices, students and university interns. "We know that the education system requires cooperation with employers. For more than 20 years, we have been motivated to collaborate with students, schools, and educators in the region who are eager to progress and improve," said Andrea Tuchyňová.

Focus on Sustainability and High-Quality Materials

The new training centre was built in a former cafeteria building, with sustainability and ergonomics as key considerations in its reconstruction. Eco-friendly materials, wooden panelling, and modular furniture made from recycled PET bottles were used. The interior is equipped with high-quality lighting to reduce eye strain and large glass surfaces to ensure sufficient natural daylight. An outdoor atrium is also part of the centre, serving as both an additional training space and a relaxation zone for training participants.

The new Schaeffler Kysuce training centre represents a significant investment in the future of education, supporting innovative approaches and helping to develop competencies that address both current and future challenges in the industry.
